Gust storms blighted the battlefield, given the raiding Drukhari the jump on the T'au. A forward deployed battlesuit was cuaght by a sudden arrival of 2 raiders and a ravager from the Kabal of Paijn and the Cult of Strife. Heavy lance fire broufht the battlesuit down swiftly allowing the Drukhari to gain position. Unable to bring their firepower to bear, owing to the strong gusts, the T'au were caught off guard and managed only to take their jump units into assault with the Incubi. Thier fire warriors managed a salvo to bring down the venom, leaving the Incubi stranded. The battle suits assault took out 3 Incubi, but the return attacks made short work of the T'au, and the remaining warriors were shot down by the Archon aboard his raider.
The gust abated allowing the Drukhari to target one of the gunships and bring it down swiftly. Return fire from the T'au obliterated the Kabal raider and then finished off the disembarking warriors in short order. On the right flank the Wyches and their Succubus had already disembarked their raider and were making rapid moves towards the fireteam and their ethereal. As the charge took place, the wyches were unusually slow to engage, but the succubus made short work of them, leaving a few scraps of flesh for her sisters to finish off.
As the gust storm picked up again, the fire warriors attempted to fall back from the melee, but were locked in place by the brides of death. The ethereal snuck in close and blasted the succubus (Kaela Knightly) down to one remaining wound. The following assault saw the ethereal sliced and diced in quick order by the succubus while the Wyches finished off the fire warriors and then both units followed up into the remaining T'au gunship.
On the other side of the battlefield, the lone Archon made a herculean dash into the T'au warlord and in the ensuing assault captured the leader into his Soul Trap and followed up into the remaining fire warriors.
The T'au now down to their last 4 warriors after the gunship was destroyed in a failed combat activated their transporters and left the battlefield to the Drukhari, cursing their misfortune on the dust storms prohibiting them from making full effect of their firepower. A reckoning will be had.
