Neil is a true master and veteran of the Eavy Metal team.  He is accredited with showing Darren Latham some new tricks and also created the Masterclass for the Dark Elf Dread Lord on Cold One and also the Lord of the Rings model - Elrond.  In that guide he explains about how to thin paints down correctly and also practicing complicated freehand designs for your models.

Neil also painted the original Urien Rakarth model for the Dark Eldar Codex, which ended up in the Citadel Hall of Fame.

Some of Neil's tips:

: Experiment with colours.  Many painters use a typical palette.  Try breaking the habit and doing something new every now and then.  Try mixing some colours too - you may find inspiration for another model.

: Keep it simple. For the majority of models it is best not to over-complicate things. Keeping it neat is often the key.  Spend more time on character models.  Keeping it simple and tidy you wont go far wrong.

I am as near to certain as I can be that the image below is Neil Greens paint job
